MIT’s Project NANDA analyzed 300 AI deployments and interviewed 150 business leaders in 2025, finding that despite $30 to $40 billion in enterprise generative AI investment, only about 5% of pilots are producing measurable revenue gains. Researchers traced most failures to poor integration and misplaced priorities, not the technology itself.
