AI-Related Securities Lawsuits Are on Pace to Nearly Double This Year, and They’re 73% of All Investor Losses

73% OF DISCLOSED INVESTOR LOSSES CAME FROM AI-RELATED LAWSUITS

Cornerstone Research and Stanford’s Securities Class Action Clearinghouse found investors filed 15 AI-related securities lawsuits in the first half of 2026, on pace to nearly double 2025’s total. Those filings were just 13% of all securities class actions but accounted for 73% of the year’s $529 billion in disclosed investor losses. When an AI-related lawsuit lands, it lands big.
